MLM Network Marketing Lead Generation Systems – Are They Effective Business Tools?

So, you’ve decided to pursue an MLM business opportunity. What is the first step in getting a new venture off the ground? Although this choice made perfect sense to you, why doesn’t it seem to make sense to your friends and family? Even after they went to a meeting with you and listened to the company sales pitch? Home-based business, and in particular, network marketing is now a $110 Billion industry, after all! Believe it or not there is no deficiency of prospects for your business. If this is true, why don’t you know any of them? So you’re tempted to give up and become part of a statistical 95% who “fail” in business. Your sponsor has told you to talk to people in the supermarket and at the gas pump? Isn’t there a more informed way to find interested people, or better yet, have them seek you out?

What many are finding is that Internet marketing tools can be used to advertise their opportunity through “attraction marketing” and to generate MLM network marketing business leads. In most MLM companies there are certain associates who have discovered a way to leverage the Internet, but few who have their own marketing system, by which leads are coming to them. Due to the high cost of Internet marketing, most rely on the marketing expertise of others, who generate MLM leads, usually via Internet marketing systems, and then make these these leads available for sale. Using leads from a “Leads Company,” can be very effective, but involves the price tag of up to $10-15 per lead and still takes a lot of work since each individual “lead” has to be called and informed about the specifics of your business.

The quality of these “leads” can vary significantly and many get “over-exposed,” receiving calls from numerous distributors, since the “Leads Companies” sell each name up to 30 times. And what about the new FTC rules? But the biggest problem is that unless you generated the lead yourself, it’s still up to you to make the contact. Wouldn’t it be better if the prospect saw your advertisement and contacted you about it?

One thing that is seldom taught by leading MLM companies is how to market, and more specifically, the discipline of Internet marketing. Realizing the need, several companies founded by successful Internet marketers now have developed turn-key MLM marketing systems designed to automate the MLM lead generation process using proven Internet tools.

How to Social Network

If you think that social media marketing is a buzzword and nothing more, think again… Because, it’s much more than that.

Few are alien to Facebook, Twitter, Digg, GOOG, Flickr and other social sites, and if you are, then you need to get out more. The phenomenal growth and popularity of social networking sites have become a huge rage online, and the private sector and companies alike are implementing various social media marketing tools to get their share of attention.

Planning is one of the most essential strategies that can make you taste success or failure while implementing social media marketing. Just like all businesses need a methodical and systematic approach, the same goes for social media marketing.

It’s a fact that social media marketing has transformed the way people do business online. It helps to understand that connection is the key word. All you need to do is ‘connect’ with the right clients and customers, which is a fairly easy task. This makes the scenario transparent as you can gauge your success, and keep abreast of what your peers and competitors are doing as well.

With social media marketing, it’s possible to reach out to your target audience in an innovative and original way. In fact, social sites are the perfect platform that allows you to:

– Make friends and reconnect with old friends

– Create a niche for your products and services, and attract warm prospects to your site

– Market and brand your products and service in an explicit manner either by blogs, social communities and so on

– Generate interest and even attract new potential customers and clients by exposing them to your products and services online

– Interact and engage your prospects in a one-on-one environment.

You’d be surprised to learn that there are hundreds of social media marketing sites online where you can communicate with prospective clients and customers. You can build credibility and trust, and increase the value of your reputation by establishing interesting social media marketing contacts, and utilizing these modern marketing methods.

Did you know that this year around 82% of companies are planning to implement social media marketing skills in their marketing strategy? Well you’d have to agree that the Internet is bigger and better than newspapers and magazines, with far more readers from around the world.

Facebook Advertising Basics

You can advertise on Facebook in style, and in an innovative manner.

Here are three good reasons to use Facebook:

• Reach over 400,000,000 active Facebook users.

• Attach social actions to your ads to increase relevance.

• Create demand for your product with relevant ads.

Facebook ads are appealing, and you can:

• Quickly create image and text-based ads.

• Advertise your own web page or something on Facebook like a Page or an Event.

• Choose to pay per click (CPC) or impression (CPM) in your local currency.

Here is an explanation of how CPC versus. CPM works. For any available ad inventory, Facebook selects the best ad to run based on the cost per click or impression and ad performance.

If you choose a Pay for Clicks (CPC) model, you will also bid on how much you are willing to pay for each click on your ad. Facebook will display your ad in the Ad Space. The amount you are charged will never exceed your daily budget.

If you choose a Pay for Views (CPM) model, you will also bid on how much you are willing to pay for every thousand impressions of your ad. Facebook will display your ad in the Ad Space, and the amount you are charged will never exceed your daily budget.

One of the advantages of the Facebook advertising system is that you have the ability to optimize your ads.

You can effectively:

• Track your progress with real-time reporting.

• Gain insight about who’s clicking on your ad.

• Make modifications to maximize your results.

Targeting options available for ad placement includes country location, and demographics such as age, sex, relationships, and languages. You can also choose the likes and interests, and education and work categories to suit your ideal prospective audience. While you’re setting up an ad and choosing the targeting options, you will see the estimated reach number change to show the size of the prospect base that will see your ad.

On the Facebook Ads Page you can find case studies and reference guides, join discussions with other advertisers, and stay on top of the latest Facebook Ads news.

To create an ad, you can follow the link below or go to your home page, and click the link on the right hand side near where the ads display that prompts you to create a Facebook Ad.

For help writing your ads, try visiting the Suggested Best Practices page, and the Advertising Guidelines. You may also want to review the Common Ad Mistakes page for free tips. If you have any questions about creating Facebook ads, click on the Facebook link below for more answers.

You can also create a product page, which helps to brand yourself and your product or service in an engaging way. It’s relatively easy to create a product page, and there are tutorials available on the subject. This will give you the ultimate exposure, and people worldwide will know about your product/service.

Top Network Marketing Tools That Can Boost Your Business and Profits

Toolbox

Having the latest and greatest network marketing tools is key to your success. If you are just beginning to build your own home based business you’ll need to find out about the tools your business needs. Keep reading and I’ll share some top network marketing tips with you.

Networking

As the cornerstone to your new business will be networking, both with leads and fellow entrepreneurs, finding the best network marketing tools you can use to expand your contact list is very important. Be willing to learn about new technologies and utilize them with your networking endeavors.

5 Network Marketing Tips

1. Self Replicating Websites – Most network marketing businesses offer this MLM tool. Basically it is a site owned and operated by the leaders in your business that allows you to create a site within the main site. These can go a long way in introducing you as well as your business.

2. Information Presentation – Along with developing an inspiring and effect presentation for potential recruits, have a brochure or pamphlet printed that you can leave with them or mail to them after your meeting. Also put together a flip book that contains more information on your company, plans and products.

3. Email – One thing I tell each of my new recruits is clean out your email account and keep it that way. Always keep your contacts list up to date and never let your inbox get filled up. 5 open emails in my inbox means there are 5 things I need to take action on. This is a very useful tool for self discipline and avoiding procrastination.

4. Skype – Many of us today use Skype for our telecommunication needs. It’s an excellent way to hold team meetings, network will fellow entrepreneurs and is a free method of speaking to people all over the world. Use the record feature to keep a copy of conversations, business meetings or negotiations. (As a courtesy, always notify the other parties if the chat will be recorded.)

5. Campaigns – Schedule regular campaigns in the most effective marketing tools. Creating video content and uploading it to YouTube or Google is an excellent way to increase your web presence. Article marketing campaigns and newsletters are also very powerful internet marketing strategies.

Succeeding in Network Marketing

While each of these generic but powerful network marketing tools can greatly improve your chances for success, finding the best business system to work within is the single most important element. If your MLM tools haven’t been working for you it might be time to look into a new approach to networking market. There are options out there if you’re interested in increasing your chance of success.

Primerica Online Review: Network Marketing Company Exposed

Thinking about joining Primerica? But not sure if it is for you? If so, are you ready to do what it takes to be successful in your business? But wait just what kind of business model is it? And what exactly do you need to be successful in this particular business model? Well let’s examine and take a look at this business opportunity.

So What Kind of business model is it?

When you take a closer look you see that Primerica is a multilevel marketing home based business model that delivers a line of financial products to the consumer by direct sales. Over the last 10 years, this company has had an explosive growth and more so in the recent years like most popular network marketing companies have most likely due to the economy and unemployment rates.

So what kind of products do they market?

First off, this home based business opportunity has a myriad of products from insurance to mutual fund investments with its flagship product being term life insurance. It also offers debt consolidation loans, investment and savings products, as well as automobile and long term care insurance.

What is their target market and audience?

The company markets its products to middle-income customers through a network of some 95,000 independent sales representatives running their own home based business. The market is wide open for anyone needing term life insurance. It also brokers debt consolidation loans so anybody with consumer debt would be ideal. And of course anyone ready to start an IRA or Money Market Account. These are just a few.

What kind of marketing strategy do they adhere to?

This home business model uses a word-of-mouth marketing approach to capture new business and recruits. But is this marketing approach enough? It is true that word of mouth is the most effective form of marketing but typically takes longer than other methods advertising. So just as in any business, marketing is a key factor to having success and the same is true for a network marketing business. Therefore a combination of marketing strategies for promoting Primerica Online and offline will be required to maximize your marketing efforts and to increase your sales.

So what does it take to become a representative?

Becoming a Primerica Online representative costs $99 to join and with that buy-in fee you get a series of training for licensing on life insurance, information on how to promote your Primerica Online business and a means of keeping track of your down-line. You then get plugged into the company resources for just $25/month and this covers the standard business website (which has your backoffice),sales tools, and a support system. The website is also for promotional purposes as is with all MLMs. From your replicated Primerica Online website you offer these products mentioned earlier, but it is your responsibility to promote it and get the links to pull it up through the Google rankings.

How Do I make Money with Primerica?

As with any legitimate direct sale home based business, representatives make money from the sale of products to end users. Another great way reps make money in this home business opportunity is by way of commission overrides from sales made by the team. With all MLMs, it is ideal to build a team to have a successful business to allow you the owner the flexibility of time freedom by leveraging other peoples time as well as making commissions on sales overrides within your organization. Unfortunately, there is not a residual income component starting out in this home based business. One needs to get other licenses in the investments product line before the residual component even begins which can take months even years before you start acquiring those customers.

So what will I need to be successful?

Well all is good and the program seems viable. But what will you need to be successful? Well the bottom line isn’t how good of company or program Primerica is… but, rather, what will you do with the opportunity?

Do you have a plan to get your new home business in front of a steady stream of new people on a daily basis? How do you intend to promote your website? How do you plan to maximize your marketing efforts and to increase your sales. Will you use both online and offline marketing strategies for your home based business? Are you willing to invest time, money, and effort to be successful in the home business industry?

Because the name of the game is recruiting and making sales so what’s your plan for making that happen?

In MLMs, the secret to success all boils down to your understanding and willingness to create a sales and marketing machine. You need to first discover how to generate leads via advertising or attraction marketing methods and then convert those leads into product customers and sign ups. Then you must lead your new team into taking the same proven actions.

So how about it… will you allow yourself to be successful and be the next Primerica Icon? Only you and time will tell…

Network Security – Not With a P2P Network!

Most small business networks grow and evolve as the business grows. In one way, this is good. It shows the business is growing, becoming stronger. Unfortunately, from a network perspective, it can be a disaster in the making.

Most small business networks are setup in a peer-to-peer (P2P) format. In contrast, large corporate networks are setup in a domain format. What does this mean to you?

First, let us define the two network formats. In a P2P format every PC is responsible for its own security access. Basically, each PC is equal to every other PC in the network. These networks generally consist of less than ten computers and require a large amount of administrative overhead to function securely.

In this format the attitudes of the user population is of prime importance. If they have a high level of security conscience then your network will be more secure, if they don’t your network will be wide open to insider exploitation.

You can see the problem. Ten computers and ten administrators equal little accountability.

In a domain system there is a single point of administration, your network administrator. He is responsible for maintaining the network.

A network setup in this format consists of at least one server, a domain controller, to administrate the rest of the network. This domain controller manages user and computer access, freeing the network administrator from the necessity of touching every PC in the network.

When a user logs onto her PC in a P2P network she only authenticates on it, in a domain system it is a little more complicated.

In a domain system she logs onto her computer, her login ID is first checked with the domain controller. If it is found she is granted access to the network resources assigned to her. Then she is allowed to log on to her desktop. If her ID isn’t found then she only has access to her local PC.

Now that you know a little about the two network structures you can see the advantages of the domain design.

As stated earlier this format requires planning to achieve. You must sit down and outline what you want your network to accomplish.

Consider what access your users really need to do their jobs. In the computer security world this is called granting the least amount of access required to do the job. Do your sales reps really need access to your financial files? What about external vendors?

All of this needs to be thought out and addressed.

Here’s an example of how I setup a small sales organization. This business consisted of about eight employees and the two owners. With the assistance of the owners we defined three user groups.

The owners group was granted full and complete access, while each of the other groups received lesser and different accesses. The admin group received access to the financial and administrative functions, and the sales groups receive assess to the sales and customer management data. Specifically, they were excluded from the financial and administrative and the owner’s functions.

Additionally, we setup auditing of both successful and unsuccessful attempts to view certain types of data. We did this to add a layer of accountability to the network. This increases the security of their customer’s data because we can now tell who and when the data was accessed.

Network security personnel know that most network security breaches occur from the inside!

In my experience most small businesses use the P2P format because it is the easiest to implement and because they don’t know the security compromises they are working under.

This can be a ticking time bomb for your business. Eventually, you will experience a security lapse that could land you in court.

For instance, you have an employee leave your business. This employee downloaded all of your customer data before he left. Next, he sells this data to someone who uses it to steal the identity of several of your customers. Eventually, this theft is discovered and traced back to your employee.

Your former customers in fully justifiable outrage take you to court charging you with negligence. Specifically, they hold you responsible for failing to safeguard their personal information.

Your case will be much stronger if you can show you have positive control of your network. You can point out your security procedures. Employee logon auditing, security updates, acceptable use agreements, etc. In short you can show that you have taken the steps that a reasonable person would take to secure your network and customer data.

Hopefully, your lawyer can then place the blame directly where it belongs. On the employee who stole the information in the first place. Ask your attorney about this! Don’t just take my work for it, I’m not a lawyer.

Remember, network security is a result of through planning, not hap hazard improvisation. Give your network the same attention you give to the rest of your business.

If you do not have the skills or the time to be your own network administrator, you can contract with someone to handle this for you on a part-time basis. Just make sure they are reputable, you are putting your business in their hands.

MLM Network Marketing Training – Rejection by Your Spouse!

Everyone faces rejection in life, but what makes our form of rejection so devastating is that it often comes from the very people we most love and respect. Our spouse, our parents, our best friends and business associates. We are convinced that rejection causes more people to fail in MLM than any other factor, and often they fail literally before they ever begin because their approach is from the head, not the heart.

Over the many years of being in the network marketing industry I have realized that rejection has caused many people to give up and fail. I have experienced rejection in my early years and I have discovered how to overcome it. I would like to share a story with you to understand how rejection by a spouse would occur. Here’s the classic scenario.

Joe is at a transitional place in his life and open to a career change. He is receptive to listening to a new business concept. He goes to a network marketing meeting and for the first time everything makes sense and he is excited. He finds himself enthusiastic about the earning potential. Throughout the second half of the presentation he begins to make a mental list of the friends and associates whom he knows would be excellent at recruiting.

He goes home and corners his wife. He’s really excited and the conversation goes something like this: “Honey, our worries may be over. I think Saeed has given us a gift from God. I was just over at Saeed’s house and he has gotten into a new business that looks really great. I can’t believe how much money there is to be earned and freedom to be gained.”

His wife says: “Are you seriously thinking about giving up a legitimate career to do some pyramid scheme. Please Joe, tell me this is a bad dream and I am not hearing you say this!”

They continue to argue for a couple of hours. It could easily have been Joe objecting at his wife who just returned from her first network marketing presentation. Often it’s the wife who is bombarded by personal affronts from her husband. Had Joe simply said nothing until he could get his wife to Saeed for a legitimate presentation, the rejection would have never been launched. Always get your spouse to a meeting or the sponsor to deliver the information.

Keep in mind that even if the circumstances differ, the outcome is often the same. This discussion could have happened on a Sunday morning following a Saturday training session in which Joe had already signed a distributor application. It doesn’t really matter. The point I am making is: We are convinced that as many as 50 percent of all potentially successful network marketers fail before ever getting started because their sponsor does not prepare them for the rejection. It’s the responsibility of every recruiter to fully prepare prospects for rejection, then provide them with the tools to overcome rejection.

Before sharing the information with people make sure that you have all the tools. You cant give pieces of information as this will just blow people away. Always use your sponsor to help you present to your spouse. Credibility from third party is extremely powerful and people will take you seriously. Bring your spouse to a meeting without telling her anything.

Creating An Original Brand Identity For Network Marketing And Direct Sales Industry Distributors

In the network marketing, MLM, and direct sales industries there is some conflicting information about how to go about establishing a personal brand in the industry.

Lets look at what a personal brand is. A personal brand is a way of attracting business to you by promoting yourself in addition to or in place of your product. In these industries people do business with individuals they like or feel they can relate to. They also do business with people who come across as having insider knowledge or leadership skills.

While I do not recommend portraying oneself in false terms to establish a powerful brand, it’s a good idea to play up your strengths. If you are just starting out, your brand should be based around the strengths you bring to your new business, not the fact that you are just starting out and haven’t made any money yet.

Portraying oneself as a strong leader does not necessarily mean posing with a sports car or even dressing up for a photograph. It means telling a story that will invite people to relate to you and be curious about your business.

The fact is – there are 100s of income opportunities on the internet these days. They are mostly marketed in very similar, and unoriginal ways. A very effective branding technique is to look at what other people are doing, and do something very different.

In this particular industry there are basically two general types of branding I see a lot.

  • The first is the “money and cars” type of brand which portrays success in the business as a pleasurable experience and encourages site visitors to imagine having nice things and a lot of money as a part of the home business experience.
  • The second is the “soft” brand. With this type of brand, often used with health and wellness MLM products, the financial rewards take a back seat to having a “feel good” product. While this type of branding is often instigated by MLM companies to build product loyalty, it often functions to conceal a weak compensation plan where few distributors make much money.

Neither of these types of branding are particularly original. I would suggest that on the internet it’s a good idea to build a brand that goes against the grain of these two types and establishes a more unique sort of image for the distributor.

This is a creative process. The secret to building a loyal following and attracting customers is building a deep brand on the internet. This sort of branding cannot be bought, it must be earned.

How is a deep brand established on the internet?

Through the written word. Distributors who wish to brand themselves but are unwilling to write web content on a regular basis will struggle to create a brand. Blogging is perhaps the most familiar form of content distribution, but getting traffic to a blog requires comprehension of how information is actually distributed on the internet – the sort of marketing knowledge that is never taught in most company-provided marketing training.

In fact, some companies in the industry actively discourage or even prohibit discussion or content marketing on the internet. My only advice is – avoid these companies like the plague.

Branding with content takes time and patience. Distributing the content effectively requires specialized knowledge of how the internet really works.

Who said building a brand is easy?

Building a brand does not have to be hard, but it does take time.

For this reason, brand-building should be piggy-backed with other marketing activity. It is unwise for an independent distributor to invest money in branding-only activity. Still, most promotional activity should be done with an eye to increasing visibility of the brand.

Home Based Network Marketing Insider’s Secret: How to Harness the Power of Tribe Marketing

Let’s face facts. When it comes to starting a home based network marketing business on the web, your goal is straightforward: increase the amount of exposure your content receives, generate leads, and make money.

It doesn’t get much more straightforward than that.

Correct?

But here’s a question: What if you could team up with dozens – or even hundreds – of like-minded home based network marketing pros to help push that kind of traffic to your respective sites, all through the power of social bookmarking?

Consider it a, You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours approach to getting back links and generating huge online exposure, only with the special benefit of automating the entire process so that all you have to do is write your content and then share and be shared.

If you’re like most home based network marketing professionals who are in the know when it comes to generating leads, you’d probably jump at the chance.

The good news is, with the help of what’s known in the industry as “tribe marketing,” you can do just that.

Online tribes are unique community hubs where you as a home based network marketing owner can gather with other MLM pros with the one purpose of auto-syndicating a tribe member’s content to your social media platforms (like Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

In return for the favor, your article is then auto-syndicated by every other member of the tribe, who then broadcast it to their network of social bookmarking services. And so it goes.

The result is a ton of backlinks that will help your home based network marketing articles (and that of those in your tribe) rank high in the search engines.

Pretty nice, yes?

The fantastic thing behind the tribe marketing concept is that it’s all about group cooperation, where every tribe member is helping every other tribe member achieve a ton of backlinks which are the numero uno goal of home based network marketing.

When you use a tribe-based service, you set your account to automatically distribute the content of any member who’s syndicating yours in return and never mess with it again.

In addition, visitors who come to your site through a backlink will never know that your article has been autosyndicated. All they’ll see is that someone within their social network has given your home based network marketing site the virtual okay. That recommendation in and of itself is like getting an endorsement from the person who is referring you, which is fantastic when you’re looking to position yourself as an expert, generate leads, and make commissions.

There are a handful of tribe-based services that offer a no-cost trial account to get you up and running, but they are pretty limited at the free level. If you’re on a shoestring budget, by all means, take advantage of the freebie.

If not, might I make a recommendation?

Purchase a monthly subscription with a tribe-based service (which should cost less than $20 each month), set up your autosyndication relationships with other tribe members, and then turn the tribe loose on your article.

Then, reevaluate after eight weeks or so, and see if your site traffic (and sales) doesn’t jump into overdrive – all thanks to your fellow members in the tribe.
