Chinese New Year Predictions, Year Of The Rat 2008 – What To Expect And How To Thrive

The Year of the Rat begins February 7th, 2008. It is symbolized by a Mountain floating atop the Ocean, an image which suggests a lack of solidity and security. However there are opportunities disguised as problems in every situation and with proper foresight and positioning they can be golden for you.

ENVIRONMENT

* There will be a greater potential for earthquakes, mudslides, avalanches, hi-rise building disasters, torrential rainstorms, floods, tsunamis and blizzards.

* More of these incidents may occur in the Southern and Western parts of the world, countries and cities.

* Water contamination issues as well as innovative water purification methods may be in the news.

PRESCRIPTIONS

* If you live in an area with a potential for any of the above take precautions right now to stay safe.

* Acquire a good water purifier to keep your personal water supply healthy.

* Get involved with lawmakers and grassroots groups to keep your local waterways clean and vital.

POLITICS

* There will be monumental efforts to gain global stability while strong pockets of undercurrents attempt to “cause the mountain to fall.”

* We could see the beginnings of a cooling down period in international conflicts.

* There are indicators that more females will come to political power this year.

PRESCRIPTIONS

* Let peace begin with you. Make a personal commitment to creating a harmonious atmosphere in your environment and in your heart. It will have a ripple effect on everyone in your personal life and the whole of humanity.

* Utilize the power of Feng Shui to harmonize the energies in your home and work space. Place a focus symbol of peace and prosperity on your desk such as a photo of the ocean or a waterfall flowing towards you.

* Dedicate 15-30 minutes daily to integrate a spiritual practice or program of personal development.

RELATIONSHIPS

* In Chinese astrology the Rat is known as a “Flower of Romance” and so increased romance and sociability will be in the air for many. More public love triangles and sex scandals may abound.

* Depending on your individual horoscope the focus on romance may bring unexpected challenges

and break ups for some and/or may trigger unexpected new love for you this year.

PRESCRIPTIONS

*Connecting with others is beneficial this year whether it is for romantic purposes, business networking or any other kind of social involvement.

*Join a dating site, a social networking site, or connect with a special interest group, or spiritual congregation. New friendships will be beneficial and certain kinds of friendships lead to romance.

* If you are in a challenged relationship right now this is a good year to seek counseling to heal your heart and remember the core of love you once shared.

HEALTH

* There is a “depth” and a “hidden” quality to what is buried inside a mountain and what is found under the sea and this may correspond to discovering a deeper understanding of health and how what is buried within our subconscious minds is powerfully affecting it.

* New healing discoveries of plants grown atop mountains or under water may surface.

* In Chinese Medicine “earth disorders” relate to the spleen, pancreas and stomach so obesity, diabetes and digestive system challenges may be more prevalent. The emotion of sadness is related to earth as well so depression and problems with anti-depressants may be more widespread.

* “Water disorders” relate to the urinary/bladder and reproductive systems, and adrenals. The main water emotion is fear.

* The Chinese astrological sign of the Horse (fire element) directly opposes the Rat and this clash may produce increased “fire disorders” such as high blood pressure, heart/circulation/brain conditions, vision problems, fevers, and inflammations. The emotional imbalance for fire is over-excitement.

* More healing, beauty and rejuvenation breakthroughs may be triggered this year through the use of elixirs made of products of the earth, and refined laser and microcurrent or light wave treatments.

* Spirituality is ruled by the fire element and that may spark greater interest in healing from the deeper level of the heart and soul.

PRESCRIPTIONS

* If you have any earth, water or fire related organ weakness think about prevention and focus upon strengthening and vitalizing before anything serious occurs.

* Try some “energy therapy” methods to quickly eliminate sadness, fear, and anxiety to avoid resorting to medication, for example the Emotional Freedom Technique.

* Investigate spiritual healing modalities such as Reiki, Theta Healing, Chi Kung, or Prayer.

* Enjoy the healing benefits of organic teas and elixirs. Consider a water or juice fast one day a month.

* Have fun creating your own health and beauty potions with products of the earth such as clays, herbs, and essential oils.

FINANCIAL

* The stock market: More unstable in 2008 and generally investors will feel like playing it more cool and cautious.

* The commodities market: Grains and soybeans should do well.

* Investments related to the earth element are somewhat favorable but earth is unstable this year so profits taken may not be strong: Property, mining, hotels, insurance, health care, food business, and products of the earth such as herbs, oil, metals or gems. Diamonds may be found in unusual places on the earth where they’ve never been found before.

* Indicators are that interest rates will rise.

* There will be tougher competition in water related industries: Shipping, cruising, fishing and beverage industries. Bottled waters should outperform other kinds of drinks this year

.

* Innovative solar energy and environmentally sensitive products, hi-tech industries and internet businesses will continue to be profitable.

PRESCRIPTIONS

* Be more practical (earth) about your money and investments by creating a plan: a sort of “sacred budget” that will curb unconscious spending and intentionally funnel your income into achieving your current year dreams and visions for the future.

* Call upon the power of reflection and wisdom (water) your own or somebody else’s to make the most beneficial choices for your business and personal financial success. My predictions are for educational and research purposes only. Always seek the advice of your personal financial and health professional.

A New Year, New Business Goals?

Many businesses have had to face some serious lessons throughout the last eighteen months or so, often being forced to rethink their strategies in some detail. Quite a few of those valuable lessons anticipate being carried forward into 2022, and whilst some will have been tough to learn, often they’ve involved a process of reflection and analysis.

In many cases those insights have gradually been accepted and appreciated for the revised priorities and perspective they’ve brought into life.

How are you looking forward to 2022, what will your focus be?

The year ahead promises to be a time of greater flexibility, with quicker thinking, adaptability and receptivity at the forefront of any planning. Being ready with quick responses to new opportunities or prepared to adapt when the situation yet again shifts has been an important acquired skill, learned as many of the old ways of doing business have changed.

A positive approach to new ideas and methods of working has been a fundamental component to survival and any eventual success throughout this time. Being able to quickly jump onto a request and, for example, deliver online courses or reroute the direction of products, goods and services, as happened with farmers diverting supplies from hospitality to supermarkets, or adapting business meetings to be held online instead of in person, has meant that some businesses have thrived and had unexpected success.

Staff wellbeing has to be very much considered, with the implications of many staff returning from furlough or having worked very different hours, often from home. Many staff will have had to juggle home schooling, the stress of being distanced from family members or had financial or health concerns throughout this time. No one has been unaffected mentally, physically or financially.

Returning to work requires some sensitivity, as staff get used to dealing with things they may have never given much thought to before. Travelling for work, deciding how to dress, coping with the varying demands of each day; things that have never been issues may now surface as issues as the return to work has to be faced.

Some co-workers may have found their priorities to be quite different from the last time you were together and some may prefer continuing carrying out some duties from home. It can require a period of negotiation between staff and the demands of the business to find a solution that accommodates all.

Extended home working involves checking that the appropriate software is installed, with data security, staff training and capabilities all important priorities. Continued investment in staff relationships is important, so that all feel part of the team, as well as measuring performance and accountability. It’s important to maintain a team dynamic, especially when working from home.

Staff support may include regular meetings, updates, training sessions and an open door policy where you listen to what they have to say. Staff are a major asset and overhead in many businesses and may have valuable suggestions and ideas to contribute. Giving them responsibility for implementing their ideas may re-inspire their commitment to work.

Team building is an important consideration, but whilst some teams enjoy group activities others many prefer a more softly, softly approach. Even socialising together may have to be carefully managed, with some staff preferring a convivial, more restrained restaurant meal, whilst others want drinks and a party vibe. Being aware of each other’s wants and preferences is an important step in listening and supporting your staff whilst rebuilding your business’s vision for the coming year.

Customers may also have different priorities, demands and expectations. In hospitality customers may prefer to continue with table service rather than queue at the bar to order. Customers may, in general, adopt a more cautious approach and prefer a less noisy atmosphere, want healthier options, a more environmentally friendly approach to business, less plastic packaging. Some may prefer the convenience of trading and communicating online.

Where do you feature on your list? If you neglect yourself and become unwell, who will be the person to replace you at the helm? If you don’t look after you who will? Taking care of yourself must be at the top of your list of priorities, because you may well be both the business and the brand, the vision behind it all and most certainly have a presence that’s important to your customer base.

This coming year promises to be a year where enthusiasm and flexibility succeed. People still want and need to trade and do business, especially with providers who listen to them and provide excellent client care. Adapting and finding your new normal gives you the opportunity to reflect on what works well for you in every way, as you look forward to a positive new year ahead.

MLM Business – How to Earn $100,000 a Month Your 1st Year

This may sound like an outlandish claim, but this is not the high end of what top producers in the network marketing industry are making. This is just a number based on what many of you aspiring top producers would like to make to feel very successful with your MLM business, and to feel comfortable with their future.

Last night I was blessed to meet with Mr. Mark Yarnell, a legendary figure in network marketing. He revealed to me how to earn $100,000 per year your first year in MLM, and within that conversation the “10 landmines to avoid” that will destroy your chances of doing so. Today we are going to cover what you have to do, or “How To Earn $100,000 A Month Your 1st Year” in your MLM home business.

Mark Yarnell, the source of these awesome MLM success secrets, has made more than $30 MILLION in this industry, so he has at least a leg or two to stand on. Think about a more contemporary top producer like Mr. Jeffery Combs, who has done single months in network marketing of over $400,000. It is absolutely doable.

Mark made an interesting comparison regarding income or performance claims. Say you went to play for a pro team as a new player, and you went through a sort of orientation process. Does the coach say to you, Hey you see that player on the bench? He’s never played in a single game, but he gets paid $200,000 per year. If you practice really hard maybe you can be as good as him one day.

Absolutely not! He’s going to say, see that player there? That’s Michael Jordan. He starts every game, scores X number of points, and makes $18 million per year. If you commit to practicing really hard maybe you can be better than him and make more money than him, one day.

Yet, in our industry regulators don’t want us to mention what it’s possible to make. Isn’t it crazy that FTC regulators want us to only talk to you about the 97% of people who never make more than $10 per week with their MLM business? What a sad thing to aspire to. I don’t know about you, but I was looking at the top producers to determine what was possible for me, when I set my personal goals for my MLM home business.

I’m focusing on MLM home business success, not failure. You should be as well.

So what do you need to do? As always, when I meet with the true professionals in this industry, they distill it down to simple steps that require some work & consistent action.

I. Ask yourself, “Would I recruit my mom into this company”?

  • Your core values have to match the company you’re getting into.
  • You need to believe in your opportunity 100%.
  • If your core values do not align with your vehicle, you WILL sabotage yourself before you get to the big money & success. It can not be just about the money.

II. You need to look at the size & potential of the market sector your company and products are in.

  • Are the products something a huge percentage of people use regularly, or does just a small percentage of people use them. Is it a small niche or massive market?
  • Your best potential lies with products that have a huge & growing market, products you would buy regardless of whether you are involved in the business opportunity.

III. You must spend two hours per day at professional relationship building, every day, 5 days per week. This is the lifeblood of your MLM business.

  • In the MLM business, you are paid to do only two things. Recruit team members and retail product.
  • Professionals get paid, amateurs do not. You must treat network marketing as a business, not a hobby.

IV. Decide to get to $100,000 per month. Decide how long you will take to get there – One, Two or Three Years.

  • Based on 20 days per month, you need to present to 30 qualified prospects per day, to get to $100,000 per month in one year.
  • Based on 20 days per month, you need to present to 20 qualified prospects per day, to get to $100,000 per month in two years.
  • Based on 20 days per month, you need to present to 10 qualified prospects per day, to get to $100,000 per month in three years.
  • With anything less than 10 people per day, & you reach a point of diminishing returns. Decide on one, two or three years to get to $100,000 per month.

If you want to get there in one year, as we discussed in the title of this post, you have to get your presentation in front of 30 qualified prospects per day.

What is so powerful about this is that it’s a simple enough step-by-step process for anyone to execute. There are no barriers to entry. It doesn’t matter your education, your family status, your financial situation. Anyone can do these steps.

It does require hard work and commitment. The reason 97% of network marketers never get to this level is because don’t execute. This is why most people never achieve this income, even with these MLM success secrets handed to them.

Mobile Marketing Trends 2011: Simple Mobile Marketing Ideas for This Year and Onwards

With today’s advancements in technology and the growing popularity of smart devices, the mobile marketing trends of 2011 are more likely to focus on smart phones and the integration of online marketing with mobile SMS marketing strategies. Smartphone marketing is all about the promotion and advertisement of products or services via a platform that can efficiently convert mobile SMS into a high conversion marketing resource. Although this is a fairly new concept in the business sector, it already has a huge potential for success, thanks to its simplicity. Plus, it is very effective at delivering messages to a specific target audience.

Becoming more and more popular among business owners and marketers alike, mobile SMS marketing and promotion is an effective tool that any business can use in promoting their products and services, and increasing their brand awareness in the market. Although relatively new and untapped, smartphone marketing provides a very broad definition. However, it can be broken down into several categories, depending on the focus of the mobile promotion method. As of today, the focus of mobile marketing trends is mostly on SMS marketing.

SMS are relatively cost-effective and offer several benefits aside from directly promoting your products or services to your business’s specific market niche. Plus, when it comes to bulk messaging, marketers have a lot to gain. After all, with such a low-cost operation, they can instantly interact with larger audiences – possibly millions of them – all at once.

Mobile marketing trends are currently focusing on the emergence of low-cost smart phones in the market that will allow consumers to have a more diverse method of communication. Since messaging can be mixed with Internet browsing now, as well, marketers can now easily combine the power of SMS marketing with that of the Internet to create an even more powerful marketing method.

Plus, since monochromatic four-liner phones have become obsolete and replaced with wireless-ready smart phones with package applications, mobile marketing becomes even more interesting and challenging. The only thing marketers need to focus on now is to learn new ways of accessing this marketing source and take advantage of the relatively low competition associated therewith at the moment.

Using special applications and programs for smartphone marketing is one way to gain advantage among other marketeers in the field today. So, with the right tools, it is completely possible to tap into the largest resource of potential clients since targeting the right market niche is what mobile marketing is all about.
