For a person to be classified as an authority in any field of endeavor or profession, s/he must have undergone some form of training or experience, and exhibit or display this special rare skills, before being reckoned with. In my part of the world (Africa), people undergo apprenticeship for some couples of years under a Master-Trainer before being enlisted into a particular guild and it’s not every “Tom, Dick and Harry” they would teach or train in the trade.
